SGPA 2025

The States General of Alternative Proteins (SGPA)-first edition, conceived by Maurizio Bettiga and organized by Italbiotec Srl Società Benefit, under the coordination of Chiara Ciotti, in collaboration with the Vision and Perspective Committee and the Identity and Strategic Narrative Committee-represents an initiative created to encourage discussion among researchers, entrepreneurs, trade associations and institutional representatives on the future of food.

The event, “Protein Future: Innovation and Taste at the Table,” aims to outline concrete strategies for the development of the alternative protein sector, enhancing scientific and industrial innovation, environmental sustainability and food culture.

The States General aims to strengthen the agrifood innovation ecosystem in Italy, promoting networking between research and industry and stimulating a community of actors ready to respond to the grand global challenges related to nutrition, health and food security

Program

The day was divided into three main sessions: the first devoted to the relationship between research and the market, the second to innovation and industry, and the third to communication and ethics. Through collaboration with Onfoods, there will also be a keynote on the topics of nutrition and health.

Speakers will include representatives from leading food companies, industry associations, and internationally renowned researchers. The audience will feature businesses across the entire value chain, interested not only in discovering the latest trends but also in exploring new opportunities for collaboration.

Alternative is committed to facilitating dialogue between speakers and participants, promoting strategic connections and concrete business opportunities.
